The "Brocken"
The Brocken is the tallest mountain in northern Germany. With 1142m height the summit is just above the timberline. During the cold war the russians were eavesdropping western europe from here, today it is a very popular attraction for tourists. The impressive panoramic view (with good weather >200km far) has no equal in northern Germany.
